About the Role
Join Walmart Canada as an Overnight Lead Department Manager and gain valuable leadership experience in a dynamic, fast-paced retail setting. In this position, you will oversee and guide the overnight team by embodying Walmart's core values, ensuring that shelves are replenished, displays are well-maintained, and the store is presentable for customers each morning. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and direct overnight stocking efforts aligned with priorities set by the Overnight Assistant Manager and daytime leadership.
- Evaluate merchandise presentation and overall store appearance, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary merchandising and display adjustments to uphold store standards.
- Manage inventory by ensuring defective or damaged products are properly identified and processed following company procedures.
- Oversee store safety and security during the absence of the Overnight Assistant Manager, handle overnight incidents and accidents in accordance with company policies.
- Conduct inspections of assigned store areas to confirm compliance with facility safety and security standards.
- Engage in the training and development of overnight associates to boost productivity and achieve stocking and operational objectives.
- Maintain flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business demands and maintain smooth store operations.
Challenges You May Encounter
- Manage a high volume of tasks efficiently in a fast-moving overnight shift, ensuring timely completion of restocking and recovery processes.
- Handle physical demands including extended periods of standing, bending, and lifting inventory and supplies weighing up to 20 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Maintain consistent attention to detail when performing repetitive tasks such as stocking, zoning, and organizing products to meet store standards.

Compensation
The minimum hourly wage for this position is $22.60.
