About the Role

This position is responsible for overseeing and assisting in the smooth execution of all operational departments within the hotel, which may include Front Office, Business Center, Recreation/Health Club, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage/Culinary, and Engineering/Maintenance. The role involves managing staff, enhancing both guest and employee satisfaction, and optimizing financial performance while ensuring all procedures and standards are adhered to. The manager will lead specific teams and support achieving or exceeding property objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate departmental goals related to guest service and productivity clearly to the team.
  • Foster a motivating and empowering workplace culture centered on teamwork, continuous growth, and exceptional service delivery.
  • Analyze employee and guest satisfaction data to devise strategies that address weaknesses and capitalize on strengths.
  • Ensure the team is well-equipped to meet expected standards.
  • Lead by example with confidence, enthusiasm, and high energy.
  • Help employees anticipate and surpass guest needs and expectations.
  • Implement the property’s recovery and second effort plans effectively.
  • Distribute guest satisfaction feedback promptly, including forms, comment cards, and letters.
  • Address staff concerns proactively and maintain a courteous and professional demeanor towards employees and guests alike.
  • Keep staff updated on goals and performance results; conduct biannual one-on-one meetings.
  • Guide team scheduling aligned with guest volume and operational objectives.
  • Perform operational job functions as needed during shifts.
  • Be accessible and approachable to guests, providing excellent customer service and timely responses to guest concerns.
  • Assist in annual quality audits with General Manager and Regional Director.
  • Maintain an effective key control system.
  • Review financial and performance reports regularly to identify opportunities for cost savings and improvements.
  • Participate in interviewing and hiring decisions; ensure thorough orientation for new hires.

Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a high school diploma or GED along with at least 4 years of relevant experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related hospitality areas; OR
  • Holds a 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field with minimum 2 years of professional experience in similar areas.
