Outsystems Tech Lead

Role Overview

As an Outsystems Tech Lead, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying applications leveraging the OutSystems platform to enhance business processes and workflows efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy applications using OutSystems capabilities to streamline business operations.
• Engage with business stakeholders to collect and analyze requirements, translating them into detailed technical specifications and user stories.
• Customize and configure OutSystems components, modules, and integration points to meet specific project goals and stakeholder needs.
• Develop data structures, business logic, and user interfaces utilizing OutSystems' visual development tools and adhere to industry best practices.
• Perform unit testing, debug issues, and troubleshoot to maintain application quality and functionality.
• Collaborate closely with QA and testing teams to verify application performance, security, and functionality across releases.
• Provide mentorship, technical leadership, and support to junior developers and project teams.
• Continuously update oneself on industry trends, new features, and best practices within the OutSystems ecosystem.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or closely related disciplines.
• At least 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience developing robust applications using the OutSystems platform.
• Solid grasp of software development methodologies, principles, and best practices.
• Skilled in OutSystems features: visual modeling, business logic workflows, data model design, and building user interfaces.
• Experience working with Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Good knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and designing RESTful API integrations.
• Understanding of relational databases, SQL querying, and database architecture.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex business challenges with scalable solutions.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Certifications related to OutSystems (e.g., Associate or Professional Developer certifications) are advantageous.
• Prior experience serving in leadership or senior developer roles is preferred.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices integrated within agile development environments.
• Experience in integrating external APIs and third-party services into OutSystems applications.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks and performance tuning strategies for optimized app delivery.
