Operations Manager

Position Overview

Nord Anglia International School Al Khor in Qatar invites applications for the role of Operations Manager. This leadership position entails complete oversight of the campus's operational functions, incorporating strategic management relating to health and safety, facilities upkeep, contract administration, regulatory compliance, campus spatial planning, and supervision of support personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight for health and safety protocols, facilities management, and campus development initiatives.
• Manage day-to-day execution of capital projects, including control of capital expenditure budgets, governance adherence, and mitigation of associated risks.
• Supervise renovations, modifications, and major procurement activities, coordinating closely with landlords, contractors, and design teams.
• Oversee all third-party vendor contracts and campus operational services such as security, cleaning, maintenance, transportation, and onsite catering.
• Ensure full compliance with Qatar's regulatory frameworks, Nord Anglia Education standards, and all relevant legal obligations.
• Lead non-academic budgeting, procurement processes, and event logistics planning.
• Directly manage staff including the Procurement Officer, Operations Assistant, facilities team, bus support assistants, and the medical team.
• Collaborate with the Extended Leadership Team on space allocation, room relocations, and upkeep of physical infrastructure.
• Advise the Principal regarding resource allocation and pursue cost efficiencies through negotiations with vendors and suppliers.

Candidate Profile

• Holds a university degree.
• Demonstrates prior experience in operations management or similar roles.
• Possesses strong leadership capabilities and excellent communication skills.
• Exhibits high personal integrity and ethical standards.
• Shows exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
• Details-oriented with capacity to maintain composure under stress.
• Proactive and adaptive, capable of driving others to meet deadlines effectively.
• Experience within Qatar or the wider Middle East region is preferred but not mandatory.
