Operations Manager - Flexo Narrow-Web Printing

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager with a strong techno-commercial background in flexo narrow-web printing to lead and manage plant operations in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will have 10-12 years of relevant industry experience encompassing production leadership, strategic decision-making, and supporting customer engagements from a technical and commercial standpoint.

Key Duties

• Direct day-to-day operational activities and manufacturing processes related to flexo narrow-web printing.
• Ensure production goals are met including quality, delivery schedules, and cost efficiency targets.
• Continuously enhance manufacturing workflows through process improvements, better machine utilization, waste minimization, and productivity increases.
• Supervise overall plant performance focusing on manpower management, maintenance planning, and efficient operational flow.
• Assist senior management with both strategic and operational planning based on production data, commercial needs, and customer feedback.
• Deliver technical and commercial support to clients by accurately assessing their printing needs and offering appropriate solutions while resolving technical issues.
• Collaborate with sales and customer teams to support commercial negotiations, product discussions, and solution selling.
• Manage customer communications related to product functionality, print quality, troubleshooting, and process optimization.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with production, quality assurance, sales, supply chain, and maintenance departments to ensure seamless operations.
• Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards applicable in Saudi Arabia.
• Generate and present operational reports, performance evaluations, and improvement strategies to upper management.
• Lead, mentor, and develop operational teams to build a high-performing, customer-centric work environment.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Printing Technology, Engineering, Operations Management, or closely related discipline.
• 10 to 12 years of experience within the printing or packaging sector, specifically specializing in flexo narrow-web printing.
• Proven record of leadership in operations, production, or plant management roles.
• In-depth knowledge of printing processes, including substrates, inks, adhesives, quality metrics, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience in strategic decision-making at operational or higher business levels.
• Capability to manage both production operations and provide technical-commercial support to customers.
• Strong commercial insight, able to assist in pricing coordination and fostering customer relationship through solution-oriented approaches.
