Operations Manager

About the Role

Nord Anglia International School Al Khor in Qatar is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee the comprehensive operational functions of the campus. The position entails providing strategic guidance for health and safety, facilities management, campus planning, compliance with legal and regulatory standards, contract oversight, and managing support staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver strategic leadership in health and safety, facilities management, and space planning campus-wide.
• Manage capital projects daily, including budget control, governance, and risk mitigation.
• Supervise campus renovations, modifications, and major procurement efforts while coordinating with landlords, contractors, and design teams.
• Administer third-party contracts and daily operational services such as security, cleaning, maintenance, transportation, and catering.
• Ensure full compliance with Qatar's regulatory bodies, Nord Anglia Education standards, and all applicable legal requirements.
• Lead budgeting, procurement activities, and event logistics related to all non-academic school operations.
• Provide leadership and oversight for the Procurement Officer, Operations Assistant, facilities staff, transportation support, and the medical team.
• Collaborate with the Extended Leadership Team on facility space allocation, room relocations, and maintenance planning.
• Advise school leadership on resource needs and implement cost-saving strategies through effective vendor negotiations.

Candidate Profile

• Possesses a university degree.
• Proven experience in operations management or similar roles.
• Demonstrates strong leadership capabilities and excellent communication skills.
• Exhibits high personal integrity and professionalism.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
• Detail-oriented with capability to perform efficiently under pressure and maintain composure.
• Proactive, able to motivate team members to meet deadlines and adapt readily to changing circumstances.
• Prior experience in Qatar or the Middle East region is advantageous.
