Role Overview

We are searching for an enthusiastic and experienced DP Mathematics Teacher specializing in Applications & Interpretation (AI) for teaching at the Standard Level (SL) and/or Higher Level (HL) to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver high-quality DP Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation lessons adhering to IB curriculum and assessment criteria.
• Enhance students' mathematical reasoning, modeling capabilities, statistical understanding, and integration of technology such as graphical display calculators (GDC) and mathematical software.
• Oversee the Internal Assessment process (Mathematical Exploration), offering structured support and feedback to students.
• Prepare students effectively for IB external examinations using data-driven instructional methods.
• Differentiated instruction tailored to diverse learner needs, including those requiring additional support or English as an Additional Language (EAL).
• Deliver MYP Mathematics lessons as scheduled, maintaining inquiry-based pedagogical approaches and high standards.
• Engage collaboratively with the Mathematics department and contribute broadly to the life of the academy.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a recognized teaching qualification along with a degree in Mathematics or a closely related field.
• Demonstrable experience teaching IB DP Mathematics, especially the Applications and Interpretation course.
• Familiarity with IB assessment methods, Internal Assessment processes, and examinations.
• Skilled in using graphical display calculators, mathematical software, and relevant technology for instruction.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills, with a focus on differentiation.
• Committed to safeguarding and enhancing student wellbeing.
• IB DP Mathematics workshop training and experience in international schools are desirable.
• Eligibility to meet work visa requirements for Qatar.
