Operations Manager – Electromechanical Maintenance

Overview

The Operations Manager will oversee the provision of electromechanical maintenance and Facility Management (FM) services throughout a sizable multi-location project based in Qatar. This role entails ensuring high operational efficiency, technical service excellence, team leadership, adherence to QHSE standards, and meeting contractual obligations.

Core Responsibilities

• Supervise daily electromechanical maintenance and FM tasks across multiple sites.
• Lead and coordinate engineering, supervisory, technical, and support personnel.
• Manage systems including Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), Civil works, Extra Low Voltage (ELV), Building Management Systems (BMS), and HVAC.
• Guarantee effective implementation of preventive, corrective, and reactive maintenance plans.
• Track operational metrics, service quality, and fulfillment of contractual duties.
• Administrate resource allocation, control operational budgets, and monitor service delivery performance.
• Establish and nurture relationships with clients, stakeholders, and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar’s QHSE standards and relevant regulations.
• Promote continual process enhancements and encourage usage of innovative technologies.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• Have a minimum of 15 years of overall professional experience, including at least 7 years specifically within Facility Management.
• Extensive experience in the GCC region handling large electromechanical and FM projects.
• Preferred: At least 3 years’ exposure to schools and kindergartens environments.
• In-depth understanding of MEP and Civil engineering systems.
• Demonstrable leadership skills with experience managing multiple teams.
• Strong financial acumen paired with excellent customer relationship management capabilities.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English, with strong communication skills in speaking and writing.
• QCDD certification is advantageous.
• Possession of Grade A classification by Kahramaa or recognized equivalent authority is preferred.
