Onshore Emergency Coordinator

Role Overview

The Onshore Emergency Coordinator is tasked with establishing, executing, and continually advancing emergency preparedness and response frameworks specific to onshore operational settings. This role requires close collaboration with management teams, operational workforce, emergency responders, government bodies, and external organizations to guarantee readiness for managing any potential operational crises effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and sustain comprehensive Emergency Response Plans and procedures utilizing Incident Command System (ICS) principles.
• Lead the coordination during major and complex emergency situations.
• Offer expert guidance to senior leadership and Incident Commanders during emergencies.
• Organize and implement emergency drills, training sessions, and exercises.
• Serve as the primary liaison with government officials, emergency services, and related agencies.
• Evaluate emergency scenarios to pinpoint vulnerabilities and foster ongoing enhancements in safety measures.
• Oversee the readiness and availability of emergency response tools, systems, and resources.
• Ensure strict adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and international best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field.
• At least eight years of proven experience in emergency management, ideally within the oil & gas industry or other sectors characterized by high operational risks.
• In-depth familiarity with Emergency Management principles and the Incident Command System (ICS).
• Hands-on experience in emergency planning, managing incidents, conducting drills, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities coupled with strong communication, decision-making, and persuasion capabilities.
