Role Overview

The Online SME Multi-Line Underwriter will be responsible for ensuring the profitable underwriting of all new business, mid-term adjustments (MTA), referrals, and renewals processed via the company’s online platform. This role involves supporting and validating new product development and deployment. Additionally, the incumbent will manage and optimize all systems related to servicing and maintaining the Profit Centre’s portfolio, while coordinating with partners to uphold exceptional service quality. Establishing and nurturing trustworthy and dependable relationships with brokers through daily communications by email and phone is fundamental to success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Profitably underwrite all new business, policy changes, referrals, and renewals from the online platform.
• Assist in testing and deploying newly developed insurance products.
• Oversee all systems supporting efficient service and maintenance of the Profit Centre’s book of business.
• Collaborate closely with internal and external partners to maintain high service standards.
• Cultivate sustainable broker relationships founded on trust, service excellence, and integrity through regular communication.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Proven experience in online and open market SME underwriting.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment while adhering to strict compliance and renewal timelines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows 10 applications.
• Strong interpersonal skills to develop and sustain relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Working toward meeting the Financial Regulator's Minimum Competency Requirements and any subsequent updates.
