Role Overview

The Night Porter position at Hotel du Vin Brighton is a key overnight role responsible for ensuring smooth hotel operations between dusk and dawn. This hands-on job involves overseeing guest services, maintaining brand standards, and managing the Food & Beverage department during night hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver a warm and helpful welcome to guests arriving during the night.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of all public areas, including cleaning duties and preparing meeting and event spaces for the following day.
• Assist guests with luggage handling and respond to any inquiries effectively.
• Conduct nightly Health and Safety inspections to uphold safety standards.
• Ensure smooth operation of various hotel departments overnight, including food and beverage services.

Experience & Requirements

• Prior experience in a similar night-time hospitality role is advantageous.
• Essential to have familiarity with working night shifts.
• Ability to communicate clearly and stay organized throughout the night.

Working Pattern and Flexibility

The position follows a 5 days on, 2 days off shift system, with some availability for alternative 4 on / 4 off patterns. Operations run every day of the year, requiring flexibility in shift scheduling. Evening and weekend shifts tend to be busier, and contracted hours can be tailored during the interview process.
