Role Overview

The Night Manager leads the overnight hotel operations, acting as the senior manager on duty during night shifts. The role includes overseeing smooth front office and night team operations, managing the nightly audit and revenue reconciliation, addressing guest inquiries and escalations, ensuring safety and security for guests and staff, and coordinating emergency responses.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support Front Office and night shift teams throughout overnight operations.
• Serve as the Manager on Duty ensuring the hotel functions efficiently during the night.
• Manage completion of nightly audit and revenue reconciliation tasks.
• Handle guest questions, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Maintain security and safety standards for guests, employees, and property.
• Coordinate emergency and incident responses as necessary.
• Promote excellent guest satisfaction and uphold high service standards.
• Collaborate closely with Housekeeping, Reservations, Finance, Engineering, and Revenue Management departments.

Candidate Requirements

• Prior experience as a Night Manager, Night Audit Manager, or senior leadership role in Front Office operations.
• Comprehensive understanding of hotel operational procedures and guest services.
• Familiarity with hotel Property Management Systems; Opera system experience highly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office suite.
• Possession of Managers and First Aid certifications is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and inspire teams.
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in financial processes.
• Availability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in managing incidents and guest issues.
