About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Network Engineer with over 10 years of expertise in designing, implementing, and sustaining complex network infrastructures. This role is critical for ensuring that our organization's network systems remain stable, secure, and perform optimally. The position is based in Singapore and requires on-site presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and validate network architecture, design, and migration needs by crafting detailed plans for implementation, testing, and contingency rollbacks.
- Verify compatibility of switch hardware, operating systems, firmware, and licensing.
- Build and configure network switches and carry out firmware or OS upgrades.
- Apply network security measures, including disabling unused ports and services to adhere to security compliance standards.
- Setup and verify monitoring for SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow/sFlow along with performance and interface metrics.
- Conduct switch migrations while managing configuration backups, performing health checks before and after migration, and ensuring minimal downtime.
- Execute connectivity and functional tests to identify and remedy issues originating from migrations.
- Maintain updated network diagrams, port mappings, IP addresses, configurations, and security documentation.
- Offer post-migration assistance, monitor network performance, and facilitate knowledge transfer to operations teams.
- Collaborate with security, server, application, infrastructure, and operations teams for smooth coordination and secure stakeholder approvals.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation for release readiness, migration validation, and rollback procedures.
Required Experience
- 10 or more years in Network Engineering with strong competencies in enterprise network infrastructure, including switch migration and configuration.
