Job description
Overview
We are seeking an experienced MOT Tester with a minimum of two years' experience to join one of the UK's leading vehicle rental companies. The role involves working with a diverse range of vehicles and offers a competitive salary plus bonuses and overtime opportunities.
Work Location and Hours
The position is based in Bristol, England. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with Saturdays worked on a rota basis.

Essential Qualifications and Requirements
- Valid DVSA MOT Tester licence with current testing status
- Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent OR Level 2 Technician/Mechanic qualification with at least three years of relevant experience
- Full UK driving licence
- Possession of a well-equipped toolbox suitable for workshop tasks
- Right to work in the UK
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting Class 4 MOT inspections following DVSA regulations and standards
- Identifying and accurately reporting vehicle defects, advising on needed repairs
- Completing all MOT documentation and testing procedures accurately and compliantly
- Performing routine servicing, vehicle health checks, maintenance, and mechanical repairs when necessary
- Using modern diagnostic equipment to identify and address complex electrical and mechanical issues
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workshop environment
- Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring all vehicles comply with road safety standards
