Vehicle Technician

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Vehicle Technician or Mechanic, ideally a Level 3 qualified professional, or a Level 2 technician with at least three years of relevant experience working on various vehicles within a leading UK automotive group.

Location & Work Conditions

This permanent full-time position is based in Bristol, UK, requiring 45 hours per week with weekend shifts on a rotated schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed vehicle servicing tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and component updates following manufacturer guidelines.
• Identify and repair mechanical issues in braking, steering, suspension, and basic engine systems.
• Execute thorough Electronic Vehicle Health Checks (eVHCs) to detect and document any required maintenance or repairs.
• Maintain precise records of technical findings and parts needed via digital job cards.
• Complete warranty repair work complying with factory standards and agreed timelines.
• Achieve high productivity levels to meet efficiency targets and resolve issues on the first attempt.

Candidate Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or an equivalent IMI or City & Guilds qualification.
• Practical workshop experience as a mechanic or technician, preferably with franchised dealership exposure.
• Must possess the right to work in the UK and hold a valid full UK driving licence.
