We have developed strong expertise in GIS and LiDAR technologies, managing extensive spatial and 3D datasets that support infrastructure and utility projects.
Role Overview
We invite applications for a Middle LiDAR Specialist to join our team. The selected candidate will be involved in processing and analyzing aerial LiDAR and point cloud data pertinent to utility and power infrastructure sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Process, classify, and validate LiDAR datasets to ensure accuracy.
- Extract and model utility assets, including power lines, conductors, poles, towers, vegetation, and ground features from point cloud data.
Mandatory Qualifications and Skills
- Between one to four years of experience in LiDAR and point cloud data processing.
- Practical skills in point cloud classification and quality assurance/control processes.
- Familiarity with 3D spatial data handling and analysis.
- Experience in extracting features from LiDAR data sets.
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong capability to spot data quality problems.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of GIS systems.
Desirable Attributes
- Experience working with utility, power transmission, or distribution datasets.
- Hands-on experience with aerial LiDAR data acquisition and processing.
- Knowledge of utility components such as conductors, poles/towers, vegetation, and ground classification.
- Understanding of conductor or catenary modeling and clearance assessments.
- Familiarity with software tools such as PLS-CADD, TerraSolid/TerraScan, or MicroStation.
- Experience in utility asset modeling or power line mapping projects.
