Position Summary

We are seeking a project-focused Metallurgist to join the IMO team. The role demands leading metallurgical projects involving testwork programs, due diligence tasks, and study management responsibilities, ensuring excellent customer service internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee metallurgical projects such as testwork initiatives, due diligence activities, and study management involvement.
  • Deliver superior customer service to clients, including internal teams and external partners.
  • Build and sustain collaborative relationships with colleagues, suppliers, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders through consistent and effective communication.
  • Maintain close interaction with the lead metallurgist to thoroughly understand and clarify project scopes and interpret data accurately, including during project kickoff meetings.
  • Assume full ownership and accountability for managing project data, including folder organization, data collation, and data manipulation throughout project execution.
  • Adhere strictly to Quality Control Systems at all times.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possession of a degree in Extractive Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Experience with metallurgical commodities and unit operations.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong abilities in planning and time management.
  • Competent project management skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Preferably holds laboratory experience.
  • Exposure to operational sites is advantageous.
