Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with VAT regulations by preparing and submitting returns according to ZATCA regulations in KSA and Bahrain NBR standards.
- Manage withholding tax calculations, filings, and reconciliations accurately.
- Assist in computing corporate income tax and Zakat where applicable.
- Oversee timely submission of all statutory tax filings to authorities.
- Maintain precise tax ledgers and record tax-related journal entries properly.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of tax accounts such as VAT and withholding tax payables.
- Contribute to month-end and year-end closing tasks related to tax accounts.
- Stay updated on legislative changes in tax laws within KSA and Bahrain and evaluate their business impact.
- Advise finance and operations teams regarding tax considerations on business transactions.
- Support tax audits by preparing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries from tax authorities.
- Maintain comprehensive tax records and compliance documentation.
- Assist in enhancing tax reporting procedures through automation and process improvements.
- Ensure adherence to SGS global tax policies and internal control standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines.
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent is preferred.
- Between 5 to 10 years of experience in tax or accounting roles within multinational or large-scale organizations.
- In-depth understanding of VAT regulations specific to KSA (ZATCA) and Bahrain tax laws.
- Practical knowledge of VAT, withholding tax, and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP platforms; experience with SAP or Oracle systems is an advantage.
- Strong analytical capabilities combined with effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Capacity to handle work pressure and meet deadlines consistently.
Additional Information
- Prior experience working in multinational companies, preferably in inspection, services, or industrial sectors.
- Exposure to tax environments across GCC countries including KSA, Bahrain, and UAE.
- Background in audit support and financial compliance reporting.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
