Job description
Role Overview
At Super Retail Group, our mission is to inspire and equip individuals to pursue their passions daily. As a Merchandise Assistant, you will support Merchandise and Buying teams by maintaining precise product and inventory data, coordinating crucial procedures, and ensuring data consistency across various systems. Collaborating closely with internal teams and trade partners, you will be key to ensuring smooth product and information flows.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate product, supplier, and inventory data across multiple platforms, ensuring the information is current and reliable.
- Handle purchase orders, amendments, and inventory tasks such as promotions, markdowns, and pricing adjustments.
- Assist with preparing reports and analyses to back informed decisions regarding buying and products.
- Monitor data quality, manage error reports, and support processes that promote operational efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with Buying, Marketing, Design, Visual Merchandising, trade partners, and other teams within the Super Retail Group to synchronize information and activities.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and adopt new technologies, including AI-enabled tools, to enhance team productivity and effectiveness.
Candidate Profile
- Exceptional organisational and administrative abilities, with the skill to juggle multiple priorities effectively.
- Comfortable working with data, various systems, and databases, ensuring high accuracy and integrity.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office suite, capable of data analysis, reporting, and effective data management.
- Strong attention to detail to guarantee high accuracy in product information, inventory records, and reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with stakeholders across the company.
- A forward-thinking, inquisitive mindset, equipped with problem-solving skills, retail knowledge, and openness to adopting emerging technologies such as AI tools.
