Job description
Position Summary
This role involves collaborating with team members to manage activities across different work zones. Daily communications with the department supervisor to address material handling concerns are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory by properly identifying, labeling, and storing materials and supplies, as well as recording their locations.
- Retrieve materials and supplies by accurately pulling and confirming items listed on production orders.
- Support work centers by delivering and unpacking in-process materials and supplies.
- Track material movements and usage by documenting quantities delivered and their storage locations.
- Conduct pre-use inspections to ensure material-handling equipment is in good condition.
- Execute cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy and integrity.
- Handle nonconforming materials by managing device master records and hold tags procedures.
- Perform other related duties as directed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or an equivalent credential; relevant work experience may be considered in place of education.
- Minimum of one year experience in packing or shipping operations.
- Basic mechanical aptitude is essential.
- Forklift operator certification or willingness and ability to obtain certification.
