Job description
Overview
The Inspector role focuses on performing product inspections to ensure compliance with customer standards, coordinating with various teams to support production objectives, and addressing daily issues under supervisor guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct final inspections to verify products conform to customer requirements.
- Use precision instruments like micrometers and other quality control tools to maintain consistent product quality.
- Operate computer systems to retrieve work orders, monitor schedules, and manage inventory supplies.
- Create product-specific shipping packaging based on work order specifications.
- Perform and document in-process inspections and testing to uphold product traceability and accompanying records.
- Collaborate with departments such as Quality, Shipping, and Value Added regarding product quality challenges and material readiness for processing or shipping.
- Conduct cycle counts and handle procedures related to nonconforming materials.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or an equivalent educational qualification; relevant work experience may substitute formal education.
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in a quality-controlled manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with quality management and tracking software applications.
