Role Overview
We are seeking a Solutions Engineering Manager based in Sydney, focused on advancing our presence in Australia’s Growth and Enterprise accounts. This role requires a balance of people management and hands-on technical leadership in cloud security across AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms. You will lead a talented team in technical sales, ensuring customers derive maximum value from our solutions, while collaborating closely across all company functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead hiring, retention, development, and coaching of a regionally focused Solutions Engineering team.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to build strong ties with account teams in Growth and Enterprise sectors within Australia.
- Work with sales and product teams to promote operational efficiency and excellence.
- Ensure team diligence in managing deals within Salesforce.
- Provide technical leadership, including active engagement with technology and solution delivery.
- Act as a trusted consultant to customers on cloud security matters involving AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Commit to travel 25-50% time, primarily domestically to support client accounts.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience managing Solutions Engineers working with large enterprise or growth customers.
- Direct, hands-on experience with major cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Background in cloud security or network engineering.
- Familiarity with operating systems, virtual machines, containers, and applying risk-based security frameworks or assessments.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience in technical selling of SaaS products.
- Knowledge of traditional Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools and cloud infrastructure security.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Comprehension of cloud identity, access control, certificate management, and key management.
