Role Overview

The Manager of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) for the Akai segment is tasked with leading a highly effective team focused on generating qualified sales pipelines to advance revenue growth. This role encompasses creating and executing prospecting strategies, maintaining lead quality, and promoting operational excellence across outbound and inbound sales channels. Additionally, it involves nurturing team skills, refining workflows, and assuring smooth transitions to subsequent sales teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, onboard, and cultivate a productive SDR team emphasizing accountability, continuous growth, and engagement.
  • Define and communicate clear objectives linked to pipeline generation, conversion rates, and target achievements.
  • Develop and deploy scalable outbound and/or inbound sales development tactics, including playbooks, cadences, and best practices.
  • Track team performance and pipeline status, analyzing data to uncover trends and improvement areas.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations to synchronize messaging, ensure seamless lead handoff, and enhance funnel conversion rates.
  • Maintain consistent prospecting efforts, upholding quality standards, and fostering effective communication with potential clients.
  • Deliver ongoing coaching, feedback, and skill enhancement via one-on-one meetings, role-playing, call reviews, and training sessions.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes for increased SDR efficiency and scalability.
  • Encourage the team through recognition, rewards, and transparent communication regarding expectations and results.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of SDR activities, pipeline generation, and team outcomes within CRM and sales engagement tools.
  • Facilitate career advancement and succession planning initiatives for SDR team members.

Candidate Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in sales or sales management, preferably within SDR, BDR, or pipeline-oriented roles.
  • Track record of successfully leading or expanding SDR teams in rapid-growth, dynamic environments.
  • Expertise designing and implementing outbound and/or inbound sales development frameworks and prospecting methodologies.
  • Passion and demonstrated interest in artificial intelligence applications within the workplace.
  • Proficiency in utilizing data analytics to guide decision-making, improve team performance, and spot growth opportunities.
  • Strong abilities in coaching, mentoring, and developing talent.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
  • Familiarity with CRM and sales engagement platforms such as Salesforce, Outreach, or HubSpot is preferred.
  • Ability to propel SDRs to consistently exceed their performance benchmarks.
  • Comfortable working amid evolving processes in a fast-changing environment.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary figures, including commissions where applicable, are provided as gross base or on-target earnings (OTE) in USD and will be localized based on market rates and currency conversions.
  • Compensation is determined objectively based on the role, experience, and skills, without consideration of prior salary history.
