Overview
This managerial role handles operations across restaurants, bars, and room service areas, ensuring smooth daily functioning. The manager supervises staff, supports menu planning, upholds sanitation and service standards, and assists during busy periods to enhance guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing financial performance.
Candidate Profile
The position requires either a high school diploma or GED with 4 years of relevant experience in food and beverage or culinary sectors; alternatively, a 2-year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related field plus 2 years of related professional experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily team activities and restaurant operations, including stepping in during employee absences.
- Maintain high standards of service and cleanliness across all food and beverage outlets and room service.
- Assess staffing requirements to fulfill guest service expectations, operational efficiency, and financial goals.
- Lead by example using strong interpersonal and communication skills, fostering a culture of integrity and sound decision-making.
- Build trust and cooperation among team members and serve as a role model demonstrating appropriate conduct.
- Identify staff development needs and provide coaching and mentoring to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Set clear goals and prioritize tasks effectively to achieve departmental objectives efficiently.
- Ensure full compliance with food and beverage policies, sanitation standards, and legal regulations including liquor laws.
- Promote open communication and teamwork within the department.
- Supervise alcohol service to ensure adherence to local laws.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, responding to guest feedback proactively and handling complaints to improve satisfaction.
- Engage with guests informally to gather constructive feedback on food, beverage, and service quality.
- Manage human resource responsibilities including setting performance standards, training programs, fostering employee fairness, and retention strategies.
- Encourage continuous employee training aligned with guest expectations and solicit staff feedback to improve the work environment.
- Support servers and hosts during peak times, oversee financial transactions including purchasing and invoice payments, and supervise shifts as needed.

This role is based in West Bay, Zone 61, Doha, Qatar, and is a full-time position that requires onsite presence.
