Job Overview
The Manager for IT Strategy and Planning will drive the development, implementation, and governance of the organization's technology strategy and operating model, ensuring seamless alignment with overarching business goals. This leadership role is tasked with overseeing strategic planning, portfolio governance, performance management, budgeting, and transformation projects within the Technology department to enable Qiddiya's vision and excellence in operations.
Main Responsibilities
- Formulate and sustain the Technology strategy, roadmap, and related initiatives consistent with corporate aims.
- Assist in defining and executing the Technology operating framework, governance protocols, and organizational priorities.
- Set and monitor Technology performance metrics including OKRs and KPIs.
- Organize and lead governance forums, steering committees, and produce executive reports.
- Conduct annual strategic and workforce planning for the Technology function.
- Maintain an updated Technology portfolio roadmap aligned with investment priorities.
- Coordinate cross-departmental activities ensuring strategic and business goal alignment.
- Oversee portfolio performance, managing risks, dependencies, and resource allocation.
- Manage Technology budgeting and forecasting in partnership with Finance and business leads.
- Track budget usage, investment plans, cost-saving strategies, and financial outcomes.
- Support preparation of business cases and justification for strategic technology initiatives.
- Create executive dashboards, reports, and presentations for management and governance bodies.
- Monitor progress of strategic initiatives including milestones, risks, and impact realization.
- Perform in-depth analysis of technology metrics and suggest process enhancements.
- Lead transformation efforts and organizational improvement projects within Technology.
- Identify and implement optimization opportunities for technology processes, governance, and operations.
- Drive ongoing improvements and promote operational excellence across the Technology department.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Master’s degree, preferably an MBA or equivalent, is advantageous.
- Relevant professional certifications such as PMP, ITIL, TOGAF, COBIT, or strategic management credentials are desirable.
- 8 to 10 years of extensive experience in Technology Strategy, IT Planning, PMO, consulting, or Technology Governance.
- Exposure to large-scale enterprises, digital transformations, or complex organizational environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, portfolio oversight, budgeting, and executive-level reporting.
