Role Summary

The position supports the Senior Vice President (SVP) of IT Security International by providing governance, guidance, and oversight of all IT Security functions across QNB Group Subsidiaries and International Branches. Close collaboration with IT Security teams, business units, and support functions is crucial to ensure consistent implementation of group-wide Information Security policies, standards, and procedures. The role involves conducting risk assessments and fostering effective communication and synergy among QNB International’s IT Security and various business support divisions such as Corporate & Institutional Banking, Treasury, Retail, Wealth Management, Operations, IT, Human Capital, Audit, Legal, Compliance, and Financial Control.

Main Responsibilities

• Support the rollout and adherence to the QNB Group Information Security Framework, including policies, procedures, and standards to strengthen group-wide information security management.
• Develop and maintain methodologies and KPIs/KRIs to evaluate the effectiveness of controls and measure the security posture of subsidiary entities.
• Collaborate with management to assist in formulating and revising the Information Security Strategy aligned to the group's risk appetite and present it for review.
• Advocate for a strong control culture and enhance risk management awareness across the organization.
• Implement best practices and KPIs related to IT Security within international operations.
• Develop and sustain effective relationships with support departments, subsidiaries, and international branches to fulfill group objectives.
• Provide accurate and timely information to audits and compliance teams as needed.
• Facilitate the engagement of international units in updating policies, procedures, and guidelines to embed information security approaches effectively.
• Prepare and present clear information security reports and participate in governance committees to ensure transparency of risks and security matters.
• Perform regular evaluations of systems, processes, and infrastructure to confirm compliance with security policies and standards and escalate issues as necessary.
• Stay current with information security best practices, regulatory requirements, and technologies to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure knowledge of relevant regulations and uphold legal, compliance, and risk management frameworks including AML, data protection, fraud control, compliance policies, and conflict of interest directives.
• Maintain confidentiality and data protection standards for sensitive banking and customer information.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned to support the bank's goals and maintain high professional standards to protect QNB's reputation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Mandatory professional certifications such as CCSP or CISSP.
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in information security within a major international bank.
• Experience spanning first, second, and third line security functions is preferred.
