Environmental Analyst

Job Overview

This contract position as an Environmental Analyst is based in Qatar for a 24-month duration, supporting Environmental Management Programs within a major oil and gas operating context. The role emphasizes ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, monitoring emissions and discharges, and driving continuous environmental performance improvements aligned with permit mandates and ISO 14001 EMS standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and manage Environmental Management Programs on site.
• Conduct environmental monitoring for emissions and discharges, preparing reports for regulators and stakeholders on a monthly, quarterly, and as-needed basis.
• Lead and coordinate site surveys, environmental studies, audits, and sustainability-focused projects across operating and project activities.
• Support compliance with permits, legal, and regulatory requirements related to environmental management.
• Provide technical expertise on environmental programs, emerging issues, and maintain Environmental Management System implementation in accordance with ISO 14001 guidelines.
• Supervise environmental technicians to ensure timely completion of monitoring activities.
• Maintain awareness of compliance needs across operations, including construction and installation efforts.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering disciplines.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in environmental management within a world-class organization, with specific experience managing facility-level Environmental Management Programs.
• Proven capability to oversee environmental compliance and coordinate related studies and contracts.
• Expertise in conducting site assessments centered on emissions, discharges, and waste control.
• Advanced technical knowledge in environmental monitoring and multiple environmental specializations.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 EMS and environmental audit procedures.
• Preferred background includes expert knowledge in at least one environmental medium such as air, water, or soil.
