Role Overview
The Engineering Manager will lead the Vulnerability Detection team within the Exposure Management division. Key objectives include guiding efforts to fingerprint, identify, and evaluate network devices through advanced detection methods and managing a globally distributed engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the advancement of network vulnerability detection capabilities, establishing technical visions and roadmaps.
- Continuously analyze vulnerability disclosures from major providers like Microsoft, Oracle, and Cisco, and transform research into protective detection mechanisms.
- Build and manage a worldwide team of detection engineers and technical leaders, fostering collaboration across different time zones.
- Work closely with product managers and engineering units to align detection tools with customer requirements and influence strategic platform developments.
- Oversee quality assurance and validation processes of vulnerability detections, including deploying automation for consistency and accuracy.
- Employ generative AI to enhance vulnerability detection research, rule creation, and proof-of-concept initiatives while ensuring thorough human validation.
- Design intelligent AI-driven workflows for vulnerability assessment pipelines that automate multi-step validation and prioritization tasks, including remediation guidance with human oversight to reduce false positives.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years experience in cybersecurity or vulnerability management roles.
- At least 5 years of demonstrated leadership in managing technical teams.
- Proven technical expertise in vulnerability detection techniques and network security.
- Strong communicator capable of engaging both technical staff and executive leadership.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum practices and scaling methodologies.
- Programming proficiency in Go, Python, or related languages.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Ability to work on-site for at least two days weekly at Pune or Bengaluru offices.
- Experience utilizing AI technologies to improve decision-making, automate workflows, and enhance business outcomes.

- Knowledge of security detection pipeline design and deployment.
- Managing remote or distributed multi-team environments.
- Familiarity with CVE analysis, CVSS scoring, and risk-based prioritization.
- Expertise in organizational scaling and process optimization.
- Hands-on experience with GenAI/Agentic AI automation for vulnerability detection and threat analysis.
- Thought leadership in Exposure Management or Vulnerability Risk Management via publications or industry participation.
