Job description
Job Purpose
Join our Engineering Stores team as a Maintenance Planner, where you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and scheduling maintenance tasks aimed at enhancing equipment reliability, maximizing plant availability, and minimizing unexpected downtime. Your role involves close collaboration with Maintenance, Production, Procurement, and Spare Parts teams to ensure maintenance priorities are managed efficiently, resources are well allocated, and tasks are executed safely and promptly.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and schedule maintenance work orders to be completed safely, on schedule, and in full compliance.
- Assess and prioritize maintenance requests using risk evaluation, equipment criticality, and reliability considerations.
- Develop comprehensive work orders outlining scope, tasks, necessary resources, materials, and tools.
- Schedule maintenance activities factoring in equipment criticality, planned downtime, and available parts and services.
- Coordinate with Spare Parts Coordinator, Storekeeper, Procurement, and Maintenance Execution teams to secure required materials and tools.
- Manage maintenance task lists and align material requests with inventory and supply procedures.
- Ensure prompt and accurate logging and management of maintenance data within the CMMS.
- Assist in preventive maintenance planning and contribute to maintenance budget preparation.
- Support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance efficiency, reliability, and plant uptime.
- Collaborate with maintenance stakeholders to boost planning efficiency, decrease downtime, and facilitate dependable maintenance execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a relevant discipline.
Experience & Knowledge
- Between 2 and 5 years’ experience in maintenance planning, operations, supply chain, or reliability-centered positions.
- Proven experience in maintenance planning, preparation, and scheduling.
- Sound knowledge of supply chain and inventory management practices.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and/or maintenance planning and scheduling software.
- Strong organizational and planning capabilities with multitasking skills.
- Proficient in reporting, data management, and fundamental computer operations.
- Understanding of workflow management and prioritizing maintenance tasks.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams including Maintenance, Production, Procurement, and Supply Chain.
- Experience with TPM, reliability, or continuous improvement methodologies is considered a plus.
