Join the John Flynn Retirement Village team in Burwood East, Victoria, as a dedicated Maintenance Person. This full-time role operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, offering a consistent fixed shift schedule for a better work-life balance. The role involves maintaining safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of the village's buildings, grounds, and equipment, along with assisting residents with their maintenance needs.

Key Duties

• Collaborate within the maintenance team to deliver effective maintenance and preventative services ensuring safety and upkeep of all village facilities and infrastructure.
• Provide residents assistance with home repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety guidelines to protect residents, staff, and visitors.

Your Profile

• Experience is preferred in maintenance roles, with a trade certificate or recently finished apprenticeship considered advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities paired with meticulous attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
• Excellent customer service skills fostering positive relationships with residents.
• Effective communication skills to work efficiently within a team or independently.
• Comfortable using technology relevant to the role.
