Machine Operator

Overview

We need a skilled Machine Operator to become part of our production team promptly. The role involves managing digital printing and fabrication machinery, preparing print-ready artwork, executing finishing tasks, maintaining equipment, and delivering top-quality results for branding, events, exhibitions, signage, and fabrication projects.

Core Responsibilities

• Operate both large and small-format digital printers such as UV, solvent, eco-solvent, and latex models.
• Manage equipment including CNC routers, plotters, laser cutters, laminators and various finishing machines.
• Prepare substrates, inks, and materials tailored to each project's needs.
• Conduct test prints and adjust machines for precise alignment, sizing, and color fidelity.
• Perform multiple finishing steps like cutting, trimming, laminating, mounting, routing, and assembling components.
• Work with a variety of materials including vinyl, acrylic, MDF, foam board, aluminum, PVC, fabric, and paper.
• Edit and prepare artwork using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Generate and verify print-ready files in formats such as AI, PDF, PSD, and EPS.
• Operate RIP software and manage print job queues effectively.
• Execute basic color calibration, profiling, and conduct quality inspections.
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical, machine, and software malfunctions.
• Perform routine cleaning, calibration, and preventive upkeep on machinery.
• Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards as well as uphold production quality protocols.
• Collaborate closely with designers, production teams, and project managers to ensure flawless job execution.
• Maintain accurate production records and oversee usage of materials and consumables.
• Provide support during urgent projects, exhibitions, installations, and periods of high production demand.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a Technical Diploma or certification in Printing Technology, Graphic Arts, Manufacturing, or related disciplines.
• Demonstrated experience in roles such as Digital Print Operator, CNC Operator, Fabrication Technician, or similar positions.
• Comprehensive knowledge of digital printing and fabrication equipment.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; working knowledge of InDesign is a plus.
• Familiarity with RIP software and understanding of print production workflows.
• Understanding of color management and print quality assurance processes.
• Able to interpret artworks, layouts, technical drawings, and job instructions accurately.
• Basic mechanical troubleshooting capabilities.
• Relevant experience in signage, advertising, events, exhibitions, or fabrication industries is advantageous.
• Strong eye for detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Physically fit to handle production materials and work extended hours as needed.
• Exhibits teamwork, communication skills, and effective time management.
