We seek a passionate Machine Learning Engineer to develop and maintain scalable, cloud-based ML systems. Collaborating with Product Managers, UX Designers, Software Engineers, and Data Scientists, you'll create customized experiences for millions of users.

Role and Responsibilities

• Develop and manage scalable ML infrastructure on AWS cloud.
• Design, implement, and deploy production-grade ML pipelines for training, inference, monitoring, and automated retraining.
• Deploy ML models for personalized recommendations, discovery feeds, search rankings, and related applications.
• Use Infrastructure as Code and modern CI/CD methodologies to build cloud-native systems.
• Ensure ML systems' high availability, observability, and operational excellence.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (Software Engineers, Data Scientists, Product Managers, UX Designers) to continuously enhance personalized user experience.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years in roles such as Machine Learning Engineer, Software Engineer, or Cloud Engineer involving production ML systems.
• Proficient in Python programming and experienced in building cloud-native solutions, preferably on AWS.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CDK and CI/CD pipeline development.
• Familiarity with ML platforms like AWS SageMaker or similar, including deploying, operating, and monitoring ML models in production.
• Strong understanding of ML concepts and model evaluation. Knowledge of recommendation systems, search, ranking, vector search, or embeddings is advantageous.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for interfacing with technical and non-technical teams. Fluent English required; German language skills are a plus.
