About the Role

We are seeking skilled Linespersons to become part of our expanding teams in multiple locations including Poole, New Forest, Yeovil, Salisbury, West London, Slough, Reading, Swindon, Melksham, Andover, Oxford, Portsmouth, Isle of Wight, Basingstoke, Aldershot, and Petersfield. The role offers an annual on-target earning of around £50,000, with a base salary ranging from £36,139 to £43,188 plus additional overtime and standby pay.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform construction and maintenance tasks on electrical networks ranging from Low Voltage (LV) up to 11kV and 33kV systems.
  • Ensure personal and team safety by promoting and adhering to a robust safety culture.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations to maintain reliable service for customers.
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions and fulfill out-of-hours standby duties as well as short-notice storm response.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previously employed as an electrical linesperson with relevant hands-on experience.
  • Hold Distribution Network Operator (DNO) recognized qualifications in LV, HV, 11kV and 33kV overhead lines, whether from UK or internationally accredited training institutions. Experience or certification in 11kV live-line working is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated capability in building, repairing, and operating electrical equipment and infrastructure.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices, excellent communication skills to clearly explain technical information, enthusiasm, adaptability, and a flexible mindset to shifting project demands.
  • Willingness to undertake flexible shifts including out-of-hours standby and emergency calls during severe weather events.
  • Possess a full UK driving license.
