Role Overview

We are seeking skilled Linespersons to join our teams across various locations including Poole, New Forest, Yeovil, Salisbury, West London, Slough, Reading, Swindon, Melksham, Andover, Oxford, Portsmouth, Isle of Wight, Basingstoke, Aldershot, and Petersfield. This permanent full-time role offers a salary around £50,000 OTE, with base pay ranging from £36,139 to £43,188 plus additional overtime and standby allowances.

Working Conditions

This is a flexible full-time position focused on safety and operational excellence. You will work outdoors in all weather and participate in standby duties including short-notice responses to storms and emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform construction and maintenance activities on electrical networks from low voltage (LV) to 11/33kV systems.
  • Ensure personal, colleague, and public safety while promoting a safety-first culture.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to emergency situations to maintain reliable service for customers.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Prior experience as an electrical linesperson.
  • Industry-recognized Distribution Network Operator (DNO) electrical qualifications in LV, HV, 11kV, and 33kV overhead lines, UK or overseas.
  • Experience or certification in 11kV Live Line working is highly desirable.
  • Proven skills in the maintenance, repair, and operation of electrical equipment.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and strong communication prowess to explain technical matters effectively.
  • Adaptability to changing business needs and willingness to perform out-of-hours stand-by duties.
  • A valid UK driver's license is mandatory.
