Lifting Operations Trainer

Job Overview

We are inviting applications for an experienced Lifting Operations Trainer with extensive technical expertise in lifting activities, industrial inspections, and adherence to global standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting specialized training programs, overseeing trainees, assisting with inspection tasks, and supporting business growth efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver expert training related to lifting operations with a focus on compliance and safety standards.
• Supervise and guide trainees throughout the training process to ensure quality outcomes.
• Assist inspection teams by supporting and validating inspection practices.
• Review and approve inspection procedures and training documentation.
• Oversee trainers and training delivery processes.
• Identify and resolve non-conformities, approving corrective measures.
• Coordinate with internal teams to discover new business opportunities.
• Produce detailed technical reports and utilize computer applications effectively.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with at least 10 years relevant experience, or a Diploma/HND in Engineering with 12 years of experience.
• Must hold LEEA-approved trainer qualification or an equivalent certification accepted by QELNG.
• Completion of LEEA Foundation Programme (Level 1) and certifications in Lifting Gear General, Runways & Crane Structures, Lifting Machines Manual & Power, Overhead & Mobile Cranes, and Offshore Containers (or equivalent credentials).
• Proven deep understanding of international codes and standards for lifting equipment.
• Experience in delivering training, managing training records, conducting assessments, and certification procedures for lifting-related disciplines.
• Mandatory skills include strong report writing, proficiency with computer applications, and fluent English communication. Arabic language skills are an advantage.

Additional Trainer Criteria

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred for compliance with QatarEnergy and QELNG standards.
• At least 3 years of verifiable training delivery experience in lifting operations and related fields.
• Authorization by a QatarEnergy-approved Training Service Provider is required.
• Competency in classroom teaching, practical site training, assessments, competency evaluations, record management, and certification issuance.
• In-depth knowledge of QatarEnergy lifting standards, QatarEnergy LNG procedures, LEEA guidelines, LOLER, BS 7121, ASME B30 series, ISO standards, and relevant lifting legislation.
