Role Overview
We are offering an engaging opportunity to join us as a Lifeguard at Places Leisure. This role places you in an energetic and friendly setting alongside colleagues who share your commitment. You will inspire teamwork and encourage delivering excellence. While holding a National Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is advantageous, we also welcome candidates who are safety-conscious, strong swimmers, and eager to acquire vital life skills. We provide ongoing learning and development, supporting you in obtaining necessary qualifications.
The lifeguard role can be a stepping stone to diverse career paths within Places Leisure, including operational management, sales, fitness, or customer service. We provide continuous training, competency assessments, first aid at work courses, swimming teaching certifications, and apprenticeship programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all users and fellow lifeguards in our swimming and pool facilities to ensure safety at all times.
- Take ownership of health and safety protocols, overseeing the safe operation of the pool and building.
- Maintain high attention to detail to safeguard all customers during facility use.
- Deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism and friendliness, striving to exceed service expectations.
- Uphold first-rate cleanliness standards, actively participating in facility upkeep as necessary.
Candidate Profile
- Essential possession of a National Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).
- Strong responsibility for safeguarding and safety standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and a passion for outstanding customer service.
