Role Overview

We are excited to offer a position as a Lifeguard within a lively and energetic setting surrounded by like-minded colleagues. This role encourages teamwork and dedication to delivering excellent service.

While having a National Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is preferable, we welcome safety-conscious individuals who are competent swimmers and eager to develop vital skills. We provide continuous learning and development opportunities to help you achieve necessary qualifications.

Working as a Lifeguard opens multiple career pathways within Places Leisure, including roles in Operational Management, Sales, Fitness, and Customer Service. Additionally, we support ongoing training, competency assessments, and offer qualifications in first aid and swimming teaching, alongside apprenticeship opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the safety and supervision of customers and fellow lifeguards within swimming and pool facilities.
• Maintain a secure environment by upholding health and safety standards for all pool users and managing building operations effectively.
• Exhibit excellent attention to detail to ensure the wellbeing of all patrons during their use of facilities.
• Provide outstanding customer service in a friendly and professional manner, striving to exceed expectations and maintain high standards.
• Maintain cleanliness at a superior level and act promptly to ensure a hygienic environment.

Requirements

• Possession of a National Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is essential.
