Job Overview

This role entails developing, improving, and managing critical digital services and enterprise applications within cloud-native settings. Responsibilities include building secure, scalable, and robust applications leveraging AWS, Java, Spring Boot, and modern web frameworks, handling the entire software lifecycle from initial design through to production support, and enabling seamless data exchange through integrations involving APIs, secure file transfers, and messaging systems.

Key Duties

• Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-native applications and services using AWS, Java, Spring Boot, and modern front-end technologies like React and Next.js.
• Deliver new functionalities and enhancements ensuring quality, security, performance, and maintainability standards.
• Participate in architecture design, code reviews, and implementation of engineering best practices.
• Handle full-stack development tasks encompassing backend services, APIs, integrations, and client-side applications.
• Design and manage cloud solutions using AWS services such as API Gateway, Lambda, ECS, and EKS.
• Provision infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform.
• Develop and maintain integrations with RESTful APIs, secure file transfer protocols, and messaging platforms like AWS MQ, Amazon SQS, and RabbitMQ.
• Operate production environments, ensuring deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, incident response, and service recovery.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and contribute to DevSecOps, including security compliance, vulnerability management, and operational enhancements.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, stakeholders, vendors, and teams to ensure delivery of high-quality digital solutions aligned with security and governance standards.
• Drive continuous improvement through AI-enabled development practices, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in software engineering, particularly in enterprise or large-scale environments.
• AWS certification at Associate level or higher.

Skills and Expertise

• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for application development.
• Experience designing and maintaining enterprise digital services.
• Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and secure coding techniques.
• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies such as JavaScript, React, and Next.js.
• Hands-on knowledge of AWS cloud-native services, including API Gateway, Lambda, ECS, EKS, and related infrastructure.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform.
• Strong grasp of RESTful API design and integration methods.
• Experience with secure file transfer protocols and enterprise integration solutions.
• Knowledge of messaging systems like AWS MQ, Amazon SQS, ActiveMQ, or RabbitMQ.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Aurora, or Oracle.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitLab CI and DevSecOps approaches.
• Understanding of software security, vulnerability management, and secure software delivery.
