Lead Quality Engineer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Lead Quality Engineer with 12 to 15 years of expertise to lead advanced quality engineering initiatives within an office-based day shift role in Riyadh. This position demands strong capabilities in test automation and leveraging AI code assist tools for intelligent validation to ensure the delivery of dependable enterprise software that reinforces business operations and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Possess essential Telecom Domain knowledge and experience.
• Design and sustain robust test automation frameworks incorporating Java, Selenium, RestAssured, Cucumber, and TestNG to effectively validate complex enterprise applications consistently.
• Manage end-to-end functional, integration, and regression testing cycles by steering test planning, execution, and transparent reporting for comprehensive product quality and release readiness visibility.
• Provide deep expertise in configuring and managing AI code assist tools to expedite test script creation, decrease manual errors, and enhance maintainability of automation assets.
• Utilize context engineering methods to analyze business workflows, data relationships, and user scenarios to produce intelligent test suites revealing subtle defects early in development.
• Create strong API testing solutions with RestAssured, defining reusable components and data-driven tests to ensure performance, reliability, and security across key service interfaces.
• Implement advanced behavior-driven development testing through Cucumber by authoring clear scenarios that align with business outcomes and facilitate collaboration among technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Boost testing efficiency by optimizing TestNG configurations, enabling parallel execution, and improving reporting for handling complex test suites within timelines.
• Enhance automation stability by reviewing failure causes, refining element identification strategies, and updating test data methodologies to sustain resilient scripts despite frequent product updates.
• Collaborate across teams to review requirements and design artifacts, sharpening acceptance criteria and strengthening feature test coverage in support of business goals.
• Offer quality insights through detailed defect analysis and root cause reviews, driving effective corrective actions and continuous process improvements.
• Integrate automation suites with continuous delivery pipelines and release procedures to enforce quality gates and maintain rapid feedback cycles.
• Champion reliable digital experiences by ensuring all outputs meet rigorous quality standards that minimize production issues and uphold customer trust.
• Mentor team members in modern quality engineering practices, tool usage, and coding standards to elevate organizational capability in scalable automation.

Candidate Qualifications

• Strong expertise in building and maintaining Java-based automation frameworks integrating Selenium, RestAssured, Cucumber, and TestNG to cover web, API, and E2E testing scenarios with high accuracy.
• Hands-on experience utilizing AI code assist tools for generating, refactoring, and validating test scripts while preserving code quality and adherence to standards.
• Practical experience applying context engineering to transform business flows and data models into targeted test cases that maximize defect detection and reduce redundant efforts.
• Proficient in Selenium UI testing, developing robust locators, modular page designs, and data handling strategies to maintain stable tests during frequent interface changes.
• In-depth knowledge of RestAssured for comprehensive API validations including status monitoring, payload verification, schema adherence, and error condition tests.
• Effective use of Cucumber to produce clear BDD scenarios, step definitions, and reusable contexts that mirror business language and foster stakeholder collaboration.
• Competent with TestNG functionalities such as test grouping, prioritization, parallel execution, and detailed result reporting to optimize large suite executions.
• Experience in billing and revenue management domains is preferred, with understanding of rating, invoicing, payment, and reconciliation to craft meaningful test scenarios ensuring financial data integrity.
• Strong skills in defect tracking, test documentation, and reporting tools ensuring thorough traceability from requirements through testing and defect resolution to support audits and ongoing improvements.
• Ability to operate fully in an office environment during day shifts, collaborating effectively with onsite teams following daily development and release cycles.
• Commitment to fostering a quality-driven culture through active participation in retrospectives, continuous process improvements, and defect reduction practices.
• Excellent communication abilities to clearly convey quality risks, testing strategies, and outcomes to both technical and business stakeholders aiding informed decisions.

Certification Recommendations

Preferred certifications include ISTQB Advanced Test Automation Engineer and Java programming certifications relevant to enterprise-level test automation.
