Role Summary

Join a diverse and skilled engineering team with backgrounds from top institutions and companies including UC Berkeley, Cornell, Tencent, Alibaba, Amazon, and ByteDance. We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Engineer to contribute to building innovative cloud-based solutions supporting local businesses and their deskless workforces. This role is full-time with a hybrid schedule, requiring presence in the Vancouver office every Tuesday and Thursday for seamless collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Leverage your considerable experience in full-stack development to build robust, scalable applications.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and fellow engineers to define and deliver well-scoped product features.
• Engage effectively with diverse stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Go-to-Market, and Customer Success teams to ensure alignment.
• Implement and advocate for test-driven development to maintain high standards of software quality and reliability.
• Communicate clearly in English, both written and spoken, to support cross-functional interaction.

Candidate Profile

• Possess 8 to 12+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
• Demonstrate proficiency in at least one main programming language such as Python, Java, PHP, or JavaScript, with experience in developing high-performance and highly available full-stack applications.
• Solid understanding of core programming principles, design patterns, and software architecture.
• Track record of developing scalable systems incorporating continuous integration and continuous delivery practices, with a dedication to quality software development.
• Experienced in both SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL and MongoDB, with an informed perspective on choosing between these database types.
• Knowledgeable in caching solutions such as Redis or Memcached to optimize performance.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure platforms, specifically AWS.
• Experience designing distributed systems with a comprehensive systems-level viewpoint.
• Motivated to stay current on emerging technologies and continually enhance productivity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with modern front-end technologies like Next.js is advantageous.
