Lead iOS Engineer

Job Overview

Our client, an international software provider, is recruiting a Lead iOS Engineer to take ownership of the technical vision for its iOS SDK. This role requires hands-on leadership, including designing architecture, delivering key features firsthand, and serving as the technical liaison among iOS, Android, backend, and security teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the long-term architecture for a publicly available iOS SDK used by external partners.
• Coordinate API design and security compromises (such as Runtime Application Self-Protection and anti-tamper measures) alongside the Android development team.
• Remain actively involved in coding complex functionalities, resolving production problems, and implementing substantial refactoring.
• Convert product and business objectives into detailed technical roadmaps.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to engineers throughout the mobile development group.

Required Qualifications

• Expertise in Swift programming with strong interoperability skills in Objective-C.
• Deep understanding of iOS security features including Keychain, Secure Enclave, and biometric authentication.
• Proven experience shaping technical direction across multiple teams.
• History of delivering and managing public-facing frameworks with well-designed, reliable APIs.
• Advanced knowledge of Swift's asynchronous programming using async/await and Combine frameworks.
• Comfortable working within complex, matrixed organizations.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in identity management, financial technology, or telecommunications sectors, particularly with eSIM/eUICC and CoreTelephony.
• Familiarity with Kotlin Multiplatform technology.
• Background in mobile security and runtime application self-protection (RASP).
