Overview
Join a dynamic creative agency in Riyadh undergoing rapid growth, doubling its team over the next two years. This senior-level opportunity calls for a highly skilled Arabic copywriter with deep, lived insights into Saudi culture and an authentic command of the Saudi Arabic dialect. The role focuses on crafting original, culturally relevant content tailored specifically to the Saudi market across advertising, digital, social media, brand communications, and integrated marketing.
Responsibilities
- Create compelling Arabic copy for integrated campaigns, digital platforms, social media, websites, out-of-home (OOH) media, video content, activations, and brand messaging.
- Develop original concepts including campaign ideas, headlines, taglines, scripts, social content, and narratives rooted in Saudi Arabic.
- Produce Arabic-first creative work, avoiding direct translation from English.
- Write authentically in the Saudi dialect, adjusting tone and language appropriately for various audiences, brands, and channels.
- Apply a comprehensive understanding of Saudi cultural trends, humor, behaviors, and social dialogues.
- Collaborate closely with art directors, designers, strategists, account teams, and clients to bring concepts to fruition.
- Present creative ideas and rationale effectively to clients and internal teams.
- Edit and proofread Arabic texts to ensure grammatical accuracy, clarity, tone consistency, and correct spelling.
- Support the development and upkeep of brand tone of voice across diverse platforms.
- Mentor junior writers and contribute positively to the broader creative team’s output.
Requirements
- Legal eligibility to work in Saudi Arabia.
- Current residence and employment within a marketing, media, creative, communications, or advertising agency based in Saudi Arabia.
- At least five years of copywriting experience within an agency setting.
- Native-level proficiency in Arabic and strong fluency in the Saudi dialect with the ability to communicate naturally and authentically to local audiences.
- In-depth knowledge of Saudi customs, consumer behavior, cultural references, and communication styles.
- A demonstrated history of crafting Arabic-first creative campaigns specifically for the Saudi market.
- A strong portfolio showcasing expertise in advertising, campaigns, digital, social media, branding, or content creation.
- Capability to transform strategic briefs into unique, engaging copy concepts.
- Proficient English communication abilities.
- Excellent skills in proofreading and content editing.
- Strong presentation, collaboration, and multitasking skills within fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
