The Lead Development Representative (LDR) position is based in Brisbane and offers a full-time, onsite role with hybrid work arrangements. Reporting to the Director, Lead Development – APAC, this position is tailored for individuals eager to launch their career in enterprise sales and account management through comprehensive onboarding, training, and mentorship.

Role Responsibilities

  • Qualify inbound sales leads promptly using the MEDDPICC framework to ensure alignment with AVEVA’s ideal customer profile and discern buying intent.
  • Conduct structured first-call qualification sessions to gain insights into customers’ operational environments and challenges.
  • Arrange and facilitate discovery meetings between prospects and sales teams to deepen business understanding.
  • Hand over qualified leads to sales with detailed context and recommended follow-up steps while maintaining precise CRM documentation.
  • Generate new pipeline opportunities via targeted outbound prospecting by researching and engaging priority accounts and personas through multichannel outreach including email, phone, and LinkedIn.
  • Continuously refine messaging strategies to optimize response rates and meeting conversions.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing teams to align on target segments, provide feedback on lead quality, and share market intelligence to sharpen positioning strategies.
  • Maintain high discipline in using CRM and sales engagement tools to log activities and monitor key performance indicators.
  • Be prepared for occasional travel within the Pacific region to support field activities and engagement initiatives.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of two years in sales development, lead development, or business development roles, particularly within B2B or SaaS industries.
  • Proven track record of qualifying leads and setting meetings through diverse outbound strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and business stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong willingness to learn and evolve, demonstrating coachability and a growth mindset geared toward advancing into enterprise sales roles.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities, adhere to process discipline, and meet set targets consistently.
  • Familiarity with sales technology tools such as Salesforce, Outreach.io, Zoominfo, Lusha, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator or equivalent platforms.
  • Interest in industrial technology, digital transformation, and understanding enterprise purchasing processes; prior industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
