Position Overview
The Lead Development Representative (LDR) plays a strategic role in our revenue generation efforts. Working primarily onsite in Singapore or Kuala Lumpur, this role involves qualifying incoming leads and initiating targeted outbound prospecting activities. The successful candidate will be a proactive communicator, engaging relevant industry personas and collaborating across marketing and sales teams to build a strong sales pipeline. Comprehensive training on product knowledge, industry value propositions, and GTM strategies will support the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform assessment and qualification of inbound leads to evaluate alignment and readiness for sales engagement through discovery frameworks.
- Collaborate closely with sales teams to transition qualified leads seamlessly.
- Maintain and enrich lead information within CRM systems.
- Analyze outcomes and provide feedback to marketing for process improvements.
- Engage in outbound prospecting by researching target accounts and decision-makers, crafting personalized contact strategies via emails, calls, and social platforms.
- Follow defined frameworks to validate business needs, budgets, and purchase intent for outbound leads.
- Keep detailed records of outreach and interactions within CRM tools.
- Test and optimize messaging continuously to increase engagement rates.
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, technical sales, and other stakeholders within assigned markets to generate and advance opportunities consistent with market priorities.
- Assist in marketing campaigns, events, and webinars as needed, aligning coordination and sharing feedback.
- Provide market and customer persona insight to enhance targeting and positioning strategies.
- Occasionally travel to collaborate with field sales and marketing personnel.
- Monitor pipeline progression and maintain CRM data integrity to ensure consistent flow of lucrative leads.
- Report on key performance indicators and conversion statistics to leadership regularly.
Candidate Qualifications and Skills
- At least 3 years of experience in lead development, sales development, or business development, preferably within SaaS or B2B sales contexts.
- Self-driven with a results orientation, excelling at identifying new business opportunities, initiating conversations, and growing pipelines.
- Proven track record in inbound lead qualification and outbound prospecting using multi-channel methods (phone, email).
- Superior verbal and written communication abilities, capable of engaging senior and technical stakeholders effectively.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin to manage communications across APAC markets such as Southeast Asia, China, and Taiwan.
- Proficient in CRM platforms and sales engagement tools like Salesforce, Outreach, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Background in technology or industrial sectors is considered advantageous.
