Role Overview

The Business Development Manager will focus on the Simulation portfolio and is responsible for meeting and exceeding pipeline and sales quotas. This role reports to the VP of Business Development Sales Simulation & Learning and Value Chain Optimization and can be based in Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kuala Lumpur, or Singapore with hybrid or remote work options.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with regional sales and presales teams to attract new customers and generate business opportunities.
• Manage the sales cycle from lead generation through opportunity development.
• Partner with regional marketing to drive demand generation activities specific to Process Simulation.
• Identify new business opportunities alongside AVEVA sales resources.
• Act as a domain expert by understanding customer needs, industry trends, competitors, and articulating the software's value proposition effectively.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or account management within a technology setting.
• At least 5 years of experience in technical sales or consulting.
• Strong technical background in process modeling, simulation, and optimization.
• Familiarity with operations technology and enterprise software.
• Degree in an engineering science discipline.
