Role Summary

The Lead Designer, Layout within the Advanced Converters Group takes on a senior technical leadership role solving the most intricate IC layout challenges. This position demands expert analysis and innovative problem-solving, while guiding projects and mentoring junior engineers. The role impacts key business outcomes through technical expertise and organizational influence.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Formulate solutions to highly complex technical problems requiring deep expertise.
  • Serve as a top technical resource for mentoring less experienced designers.
  • Lead teams and significant projects delivering sizeable business value.
  • Influence across functional boundaries to promote technical excellence.
  • Guide IC layout projects and advance product architecture design decisions.
  • Conduct advanced evaluations and optimizations of semiconductor processes.
  • Create and implement improved layout methodologies and best practices.

Required Skills and Expertise

  • Demonstrated technical leadership with broad organizational influence.
  • Mastery in integrated circuit layout, architectural design, and process evaluation.
  • Proven ability managing complex technical projects end-to-end.
  • Strong capability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in relevant technical roles.
