Role Overview

As a Senior Product Applications Engineer specializing in µWave/mmWave technologies, you will support system and component level integration for customers in sectors such as aerospace, defense, communications, and instrumentation. Your expertise will cover products ranging from baseband through D-Band frequencies (up to 170 GHz). Key responsibilities include developing software drivers and tools to aid customer design integration of components including modulators, up/down converters, beamformers, mixers, tunable filters, and RF detectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize and broaden your system-level knowledge to troubleshoot and optimize complex customer designs.
• Lead development of advanced application tools, reference hardware, and software to promote product implementation efficiency.
• Collaborate strategically with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, and sales to accelerate product development and market introduction.
• Address advanced technical problems through innovative and comprehensive solutions for key customers.
• Design and conduct thorough validation tests to define product performance limits and ensure reliability across applications.
• Act as a subject matter expert by mentoring junior colleagues and advising clients on product applications.
• Perform competitor product analyses and offer insights to uphold Analog Devices' competitive position.
• Ensure that products comply with qualification standards for specialized market segments through diligent testing protocols.

• Excellent communication skills for conveying complex technical content clearly to varied audiences.
• Expertise in executing qualification testing to satisfy sector-specific regulatory and market requirements.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline; Master's degree is advantageous.
• At least 8 years’ experience in product applications engineering or related technical roles.
• Demonstrated proficiency with analog and mixed-signal semiconductor products.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives.

Additional Information

This role involves approximately 10% travel and operates on a standard 1st shift/day schedule. Candidates outside of US citizenship or residency may be subject to export licensing reviews due to access to technical data.
