Job Overview

Quest Global is seeking a Lead Concession Stress Engineer to join our aerostructures team. This role involves direct execution of composite and metallic stress concessions, primarily for aerospace components such as wings and fuselage structures. The ideal candidate has thorough knowledge of Airbus stress requirements and hands-on experience with aerospace concession projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed aerostructure composite and metallic stress concession tasks.
• Apply Airbus methodologies to justify stress design solutions as per customer processes.
• Use tools like ISAME Mathcad and SAP for analysis and documentation.
• Conduct hand calculations to support stress evaluations.
• Address static and fatigue stress assessments following relevant standards and procedures.
• Identify and resolve critical technical issues grounded in customer methods.
• Collaborate with design assessment teams to verify stress solutions.
• Understand load paths on aircraft wing and fuselage structures to inform concessions.
• Guide and mentor team members while managing customer requirements and proposal efforts.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Strong expertise in aerostructures stress concessions for composite and metallic components.
• Proficient working knowledge of Airbus stress requirement processes and standards.
• Experience with stress dossier preparation and aerospace concession projects.
• Familiarity with design documentation and drawing interpretation.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication capabilities.
• Understanding of primary and secondary aircraft structural components.
• Hands-on usage of ISAME Mathcad and SAP tools for stress justification.
• Ability to perform and validate hand calculations for stress cases.
