Role Overview and Responsibilities

• Develop and refine 3D models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings using Siemens NX software.
• Create and edit intricate assemblies and parts ensuring design accuracy.
• Produce comprehensive engineering drawings and accompanying documentation.
• Work closely with originators of designs to address differences between initial 3D models and finalized CAD outputs.
• Perform rigorous quality control to verify the precision of all designs and drawings.
• Review and ensure the technical completeness and quality of team deliverables.
• Maintain and update existing 3D models while documenting design processes.
• Resolve complex modeling and drafting challenges with effective technical solutions.
• Coordinate with manufacturing teams to assure design manufacturability.
• Apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) standards.
• Engage in design optimization and cost reduction projects.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is mandatory.
• 5 to 8 years of substantial experience in CAD design with hands-on proficiency in Siemens NX software.
• Expertise in managing complicated components, large assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude with the capacity to meet stringent deadlines.
• Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
• Proven track record in driving automation and continuous improvement for enhanced productivity and quality.
• Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management tools, particularly Teamcenter.
• Knowledge and experience in welding and fabrication techniques, especially regarding sheet metal methodology.
• Competence in applying GD&T and adhering to other industry standards.
• Experience in the wind power sector is a significant advantage.
