Role Overview

As a Lead AI Solutions Delivery Engineer, you will work closely with strategic enterprise clients to solve complex challenges using Docusign’s proprietary Agentic technologies, integrations with third-party AI ecosystems, and established technology infrastructures. You will act as a bridge between business and technology, crafting customer workflows, custom architectures, code, and AI prompts to drive measurable business value. Your role will leverage Docusign’s Intelligent Agreement Management platform and APIs alongside integrations with AI systems such as OpenAI, Microsoft CoPilot, and Claude to enhance agreement lifecycle management at scale. Insights from your deployments will help shape Docusign's AI development roadmap. This individual contributor position reports to the Senior Director of Value Delivery Realization and involves partial office presence (minimum 2 days weekly) combined with remote work.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer-focused, cross-functional initiatives to design and deploy modern AI-driven agreement management workflows.
• Develop and implement AI-powered business processes utilizing Docusign’s AI tools and third-party platforms including MCP server, APIs, and web forms.
• Demonstrate pioneering deployments to validate and streamline new AI implementation patterns and reusable use cases.
• Conduct technical presentations, training sessions, and workshops tailored for varied audiences.
• Collaborate with customer stakeholders, Docusign teams, and system integrators to transform operational requirements into deployable AI solutions.
• Document and share repeatable deployment strategies contributing to continuous product and engineering improvements.
• Build scalable data pipelines, containerized microservices, and system repositories ensuring robust autonomous AI operation.
• Stay informed about advancements in large language models, AI implementation methods, and technology stacks.
• Translate field experience into standardized deployment scripts, cross-functional recommendations, and enterprise-ready AI implementation guides.
• Work with partner enablement teams to equip ecosystem partners with deployment best practices and architectural blueprints.
• Critically assess both human and AI-generated code within secure cloud environments for quality, security, performance, and compliance.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Operations Research, or similar fields, or equivalent professional experience.
• Over 12 years of experience in software engineering, deployment-focused roles, or customer-facing technical delivery in technology firms, including AI startups or scale-ups.
• Approximately 18-24 months of hands-on experience implementing production-grade GenAI solutions, LLMs, autonomous agents, and orchestration frameworks, especially with multi-step workflows and failure handling.
• Proven capability interacting directly with customers for proofs of concept, architecture evaluations, and technical reviews.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, C++, or foundational systems engineering.
• Strong communicator skilled in customer engagement, capable of translating technical concepts for diverse, including non-technical, stakeholders.
• Customer outcome-oriented mindset with a proactive, action-driven approach and eagerness to continuously learn in the evolving AI landscape.
• Experience building and maintaining AI agents in production environments and sharing insights cross-functionally.
• Previous roles may include forward-deployed engineer, technical lead, startup CTO, enterprise architect, or consultant.
• Experience deploying autonomous AI agents or orchestration systems in regulated sectors such as finance or healthcare is a plus.
• Well-versed in data security, compliance standards, and isolated cloud deployments suitable for enterprise settings.
• Collaborative work style with a passion for learning and adapting in a fast-paced AI domain.
• Willingness and ability to travel between 25-50% to customer locations as needed.
